MEGHAN THOMSON

Co-Creator

Meghan Thomson is a classically trained soprano hailing from northern Rhode Island. She received her bachelor’s degree in classical vocal performance from the Royal College of Music in London. She is also an alumnus of the Manhattan School of Music.

Meghan has performed scenes as Ellen in Britten’s Peter Grimes, Stepmother in Alma Deutcher’s Cinderella, and Lisette in La Rondine at the Royal College of Music. In 2022, she was selected as part of a women’s chamber chorus for Gustav Holst’s The Planets at the Royal Festival Hall in London under the direction of Vasily Petrenko. Meghan has had the privilege of working with many notable conductors including Nick Cleobury and Natalie Murray Beale, and studied under Olivier-award-winning soprano Amanda Roocroft.

As a singer, Meghan is passionate about performing music by lesser-known female composers, and exploring compositions influenced by American immigrant music and stories. A voracious reader since childhood, Meghan takes great joy in scriptwriting, and lists Grimm’s Fairytales, mythology, gothic novels, and (of course) ghost stories as her favourite inspirations. When not in the practice room, you can find Meghan listening to big band vinyls, reading at the beach, and exploring historic New England with her wonderful family.
